Oh My Aching Boobies

Ouch! Swollen, tender. I have to wear a sports bra 24-7. They feel bigger and that's a scary thought given the size I am naturally.

I've been having a bit of insomnia and have to get up to tinkle at least twice a night. Highly unusual for me.

I am so excited about next Tuesday's ultrasound. I just CAN NOT wait!!!

Well, tonight I see my mom and it's going to be at a mixer with wine around. I just hope she doesn't notice I'm not drinking. Hopefully, it will be so fun/busy she won't even think twice about it. It's hard to see the people you love and not tell them, but I know why we do it. After you see the heartbeat the chance of miscarriage reduces to 7%. Plus, I'm probably going to see Jamie's mom Sunday. The last time I saw her she showed me a framed photo of her bosses children and I told her I could give her a photo of my empty uterus if she was so inclined. lol Obviously wine was responsible for that statement.

Hormones are GREAT!

Normally, when Jamie goes out of town I'm so anxious and I can hardly sleep. When I do sleep with him gone it's usually restless and I wake up several times a night.

Well, Jamie's gone. I'm actually pretty impressed with him. He's running a relay race from Gonzales to San Jacinto.

The funny thing is I slept like a rock last night. I could hardly stay awake long enough for him to call me to let me know he arrived safely in Gonzales! lol and I was still dead asleep when he called me this morning to let me know the race was starting.

Happy Anniversary

We went to Cork Wine Bar!! Jamie knew I had been wanting to try their dinner menu, so when Cindy and Jesse gave us a gift certificate we knew we had to go.

I've gone a few times with the girls for wine, but kept trying to tell Jamie about their beer selection. When we got there he told me he wanted to try wine and I told him NO WAY! just get the beers because that's what you love...don't be something you're not. kwim?

I started with an Australian Shiraz and he had a Wheat beer similar to a Hefeweizen. We shared Shiner Bock Beer battered fresh mozzarella sticks and jumbo lump crab meat crab cakes. Then, we had mixed field greens salad with fresh Roma tomatoes and balsamic. I had tastings of a couple of Shiraz and Zinfandel from California and Brazil. I finally settled on a glass of Pinot Noir from Spain. Jamie had another beer...it was another Weisse-something or another from Germany...lol wish I could remember the name. Jamie ordered some sort of pepperoni pizza. Thankfully, he wasn't famished because as good as it was there were 4 pieces about the size of a deck of cards. He was pretty amused by his pizza. The find of the night was a Brazilian Beer called Xingu. Jamie decided it was only fitting since he loves all things Brazil... Brazilian Ju Jitsu, hot Brazilian babes wearing thong bikinis and Reef sandals. lol Sadly, their chocolate lava cake was an 86 on the menu. We opted for their Bananas Foster pie. It made us appreciate Perry's table side Flambe Bananas Foster even more than we already do.

It was nice. The vibe isn't about rushing you out the door there, so we had time to sit, visit, relax and enjoy time with each other without feeling pressured to give up our table.

Dig that Crazy Christmas!

That was the name of our kids' Christmas program. I had the BEST time. Autumn video taped, so give me a few days...look out youtube. My mom hopefully got some good pics and I will post them as soon as I get them from her.

I forgot how much I enjoyed theatre. Even though I only had a few lines in a skit designed for kids; it was so much fun. I just love the entire process. I love the flexibility we have there. We wrote our own lines, did our blocking and costumes...it just made it THAT much more fun when the audience was laughing at our jokes, or kids were coming up to us after and commenting on the funny parts.

My hair defied gravity! Cindy's did too! lol

Oh, and kids came up to me after to hug me and get their picture taken with me. That was the best part...thinking that kids will remember these fun times at church. When I grew up just about the only thing I did at church was Vacation Bible School. Do you know what I remember the most? Having snow cones. lol It might sound trivial, but those snow cones were a big part of me getting to know Jesus.

Jamie's Birthday

We went to the Renaissance Fair! He had so much fun. He met a new beer called Bottington's and fell in love, got spanked by a jester and looked at boobies popping out of corsets. All in all he had a good time.

Weekend

Wow, I had a fun filled weekend. It took me until Wednesday to find the time to write about it!

It started off with the New Kids on the Block concert Thursday night! It was an amazing show and I was on a 'concert high' for 3 days! Of course my Partner in Crime was Kelly!

Then, we took Hayli and Rowland to Zoo Boo. Jamie found out what happens when Rowland eats cotton candy ... Rowland version 2.0. He gave narrative on every cold blooded creature in the Reptile House. Hayli is so kind, loving and nurturing. She wanted to push Johan in the stroller the entire time. It was very nice to spend time with them and I think they had a good time.
